Dear Mr. Parker,
We urge you to reverse your decision to pull apparel production from union factories in Indonesia.
In solidarity with thousands of workers in Indonesia, we urge you to comply with their following demands.
We ask Nike maintain apparel production in Indonesia, and do whatever it takes to ensure Nike remains a responsible investor in order to maintain production from factories with a recognized union.
We ask Nike immediately cease encouraging suppliers or unions to recommend voluntary resignations or transfers to other factories, as union members feel this is coercion.
We ask Nike ensures prices that permit any Nike supplier that moves to a new location to pay the same rate of wage as in their prior location.
We ask Nike guarantee distribution of full severance to all workers laid off as a result of your withdrawal, including those who have already left impacted suppliers.
