No Ellis Act at 3039-3041 California Street!
Adam Phillips, 366 Development LLC
Help stop the no-fault eviction of the tenants at 3039-3041 California Street. Their new landlord, Adam Joseph Phillips, is trying to force them out of the home they’ve lived in for decades. Adam manages 366 Development (http://www.366development.com/), which is described as “a small value investor through real estate.” Upon acquiring 3039-3041 California Street, Adam pressured the tenants to take a buyout but they refused, which is when Adam decided to get rid of the tenants by using the Ellis Act. This building is home to some of the few black, senior and disabled female tenants who have managed to remain in their homes. Tell Adam it’s not okay to profit by displacing long-term tenants!

Dear Adam Phillips,
We are writing to ask that you withdraw the Ellis Act and allow these tenants stay in their home.
Upon your recent acquisition of this property, we are horrified to hear that you are deciding to evict long-term San Francisco residents with the Ellis Act. The tenants in this building have considered these apartments to be their home for decades. As some of the few black, female tenants who have managed to remain in San Francisco in a time of escalating rents and displacement of ethnic and racial minorities, we implore you to reconsider your decision on moral grounds.
The tenants at this location pay their rent on time, take care of their apartments, and are respectful tenants. More importantly, they have found and built community in this home for many years. As members of the San Francisco community, you must know that the housing situation in San Francisco is impossible right now. These tenants will find it impossible to find other affordable, community-centered housing here in the city. Withdraw the Ellis Act today and stand with marginalized communities who are being driven out by the housing crisis.
