No more delays: it is time City Council bans conversion therapy
Lethbridge City Council
Lethbridge City Council was set to proceed with Bylaw 6228, which would ban conversion therapy businesses in the City. Just days before the July 13, 2020 second reading of the bylaw two council members attempted to delay by making a motion to hold public hearings. These two councilors do not want to admit that Lethbridge has changed. We are a city of inclusion and diversity. We will fight for the dignity of all.
This delay technique is harmful. We call upon the city council members to hear second reading of the bylaw on July 13 as scheduled. No more delaying: time to ban this evil practice.

We, the residents of Lethbridge, call upon the City Council members to, without delay, hear second reading of Bylaw 6228 and ban conversion therapy in Lethbridge.
Efforts to delay the bylaw are thinly veiled efforts to deny change in Lethbridge. We are a city of diversity and inclusion. We support the dignity of all our neighbours and we will fight for a city that reflects that.
