We Must Stop Giving More Money To ICE & CBP!!!

On May 2018, a year ago, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent shot and killed Claudia Gonzalez at the U.S. and Mexico border.
Now, DHS has submitted a supplemental request for another $4.5 BILLION to grow the Deportation Force. This is on top of an already bloated 2019 budget, which gave Billions dollars to the Deportation Force!
It’s not only Claudia, in fact Roxsana Hernandez died in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico after fleeing violence and discrimination.

The list goes on and on.
And these aren’t isolated incidents: in a new report, children describe "being stomped on, punched, kicked, run over with vehicles, tased, and forced to maintain stress positions by CBP officials.”*
These are just some of the constant violent abuses that immigrant youth, children and their families suffer at the hands of ICE & CBP agents every day.
Right now our taxpayer money is funding ICE & CBP’s violent abuse. Our hard-earned dollars are funding:
Cold abusive detention camps that imprison children, miles away from their parents.
Immigration agents who shoot and kill migrants fleeing violence or poverty.
The cruel ripping of toddlers from their mothers’ arms at the border
We can stop this. Members of Congress have the power to decide which programs and agencies are funded, and how they are funded. ICE & CBP will not be able to continue these atrocities without funds. The problem is not whether we know where children and parents are being kept - the problem is ICE and CBP. Members of Congress must immediately stop giving billions of dollars to the deportation force.
It’s time for these agencies to be held accountable. It’s time to abolish ICE and defundCBP.

Roxsana Hernandez murió bajo la custodia de la agencia de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas de los Estados Unidos (ICE por sus siglas en inglés) en un hospital en Albuquerque, Nuevo México después de huir violencia y discriminación en su país natal.
Estos no son incidentes aislados: en un nuevo reporte, niños describen “ser pisoteados, agarrados a puñetazos, pateados, atropellados, electrocutados con un Taser, y obligados a mantener posiciones de estrés” por agentes de inmigración.
Y estas son solo unas de los tantos abusos constantes que jóvenes inmigrantes, niños y sus familias sufren a las manos de agentes de ICE y CBP cada día.
Ahora mismo el dinero de cada persona pagando impuestos (taxes) van directamente a pagar los abusos violentos a manos de ICE y CBP. Nuestros dolares estan pagando por:
- Centros de detención, fríos, en donde encarcelan a niños y niñas. A millas de distancia de donde se localizan sus padres.
- Agentes de inmigracion disparando y matando gente que esta migrando para escapar violencia o pobreza.
- La crueldad de quitarle niñitos de los brazos de sus madres en la frontera.
Nosotros podemos detener esto. Miembros del Congreso tienen el poder de decidir cuáles agencias reciben dinero y cómo reciben dinero. ICE y CBP no podrán seguir estas atrocidades sin los fondos que las paguen. El problema no es que no se sepa en donde tienen a los niños o a sus padres - el problema es ICE y CBP.
Ya es hora que estas agencias se responsabilicen por sus acciones. Es hora de eliminar los fondos de ICE y CBP.
