One Job Should Be Enough for airline catering workers

Doug Parker, CEO, American Airlines

While American Airlines pulls in billions in profits, airline catering workers who provide food and beverages served aboard American flights face poverty wages and unaffordable health insurance.

This year, they are planning protests at airports across the country during the week of Thanksgiving.

Catering workers shouldn’t have to choose between paying their bills or getting medical treatment. Tell American Airlines that One Job Should Be Enough.

***UPDATED NOVEMBER 26***

Airline catering workers and supporters took to airports across the U.S. in a national day of protests to call on American Airlines to take action ASAP. Until American takes urgent and necessary steps so that airline food workers can escape poverty and access affordable, quality healthcare we will continue to be wherever the airline is.

Mr. Parker,

It was a rough summer to be an American Airlines passenger, but now you’ve also let down the catering workers who serve your airline. I was disappointed to learn that they are forced to struggle with poverty wages and unaffordable health insurance.

The working people who provide your inflight food and beverages shouldn’t have to choose between paying their bills or getting medical treatment. I support workers and their planned protests at airports during the week of Thanksgiving.

It is time for American Airlines to fix this problem. One Job Should Be Enough.

Sincerely,
