HB 2682 Heavy Equipment Safety Bill

HB 2682 comes out of a tragedy involving an Oregon AFSCME member working in Benton County who was killed on the job operating an unsafe piece of heavy equipment.

HB 2682 will ensure that rented heavy equipment is kept in a safe manner and any problems are tracked so employers know before renting if the contractor is acting with safety in mind.

Please help pass HB 2682 because Oregon workers deserve safety on the job.
