We urge state lawmakers to: increase Texas teacher and certified employee salaries by $10,000 to make up for “The Lost Decade” of wages. In addition, we demand that all support staff receive a 15% across-the-board raise that reflects the value they bring to each student on campus. All educators should be able to afford to live where they work.

The State of Texas has more than $33 billion in a budget surplus, enough to fund a statewide pay raise for all public school employees. The time to act is now!
