Pigs Without Borders petition

Australian Commonwealth Government; NSW Government; VIC Government; QLD Government; WA Government; SA Government; NT Government; TAS Government; ACT Government

Pigs are cognitively complex creatures who experience severe suffering in current intensive farming practices. This petition aims to eliminate inhumane conditions, such as sow stalls and farrowing crates that severely restrict movement, end painful husbandry procedures performed without pain relief, and phase out CO2 gassing—a slaughter method that causes significant distress as pigs struggle to breathe. By demanding transparent food labelling and reviewing industry codes of practice, this petition also empowers consumers to make informed choices about the products they purchase.
