Protect our Natural Resources!
Governor Kim Reynolds
Iowa’s natural resources are part of what makes this state special to so many of us, and climate change presents a clear threat to our environment. That’s why my campaign has committed to making sure renewable resources provide half of our state’s energy needs by 2025. It’s a plan that’s smart for our state’s economic potential as well as important to the protection of our environment.
Governor Reynolds should embrace a sustainable path forward for Iowa’s future, but so far she hasn’t even fully funded the land and water trust fund that was approved by voters in 2010--something I’ve pushed for in the Iowa Senate and will fight for as governor.
Climate change is both a serious threat to our future and a powerful economic opportunity for our state. We need Governor Reynolds to join us in our work to promote sustainability and preserve our natural resources.
