Protect our unemployment insurance lifeline
Gov. Kasich and our members of the Ohio Legislature
Unemployment insurance is an earned benefit that we pay into to sustain us and our families between jobs. But some extremist politicians are trying to cut the benefits we paid for
A group of state lawmakers is attempting to force cuts to the the time Ohioans are eligible to receive benefits by up to six weeks and cut the support parents receive to help care for their children.
We paid in and we expect that lifeline to be there when we need it.
These conservatives in Columbus are planning to cut our earned benefits, even though 280,000 Ohioans are unemployed right now.

Unemployment insurance is our lifeline in tough times. It is an earned benefit that we have paid for. We need to balance the unemployment fund by making sure that big businesses pay their fair share, not by putting the burden on the backs of the working people who need that lifeline in tough times to sustain us and our communities.
