President Biden announced that if Democrats keep our majority in the House and expand our majority in the Senate, the first bill he will send to Congress will restore Roe v. Wade. It is on us to help elect more Democratic Senators and to protect our majority in the House.

Reproductive Rights are under attack like never before. Republican held legislatures pushed legislation in order for Roe v Wade to be reconsidered in front of the Supreme Court and the Conservative Packed Supreme Court overturned it, undoing decades of precedence for reproductive rights. Our only path forward is federal legislation that Joe Biden has just promised to introduce.

Abortion is health care. Reproductive Rights are and always will be fundamental rights. Overturning Roe not only threatens the right to choose, but also the right to use contraception, access to reproductive health, and the right to a life of one's choosing. Overturning the precedent of Roe v Wade is a threat to all of us and the right to one's bodily autonomy. The Supreme Court has affirmed these rights for over 50 years and we cannot afford to go back now.

A person should not be forced to carry out a pregnancy if their own health is at stake. A person should not be able forced to carry out in a pregnancy in the case of rape or incest. A person should not be forced to carry out a pregnancy without their consent. Period.

Rooms full of people who do not have uteruses should not be the ones determining what happens to the bodies of those who do. And now it is up to everyone to show that we support one's right to bodily autonomy. More legislation like this from Mississippi, Texas, and other GOP held states will continue to come up and attack reproductive rights.
