Protect Safe Abortions in the City of Raleigh

Raleigh City Council

Raleigh City Council has the power to help protect the safety of abortions in the city, whether Roe v Wade gets overturned or not. We are calling on Raleigh City Council members to make these resolutions to protect your constituents' rights to healthcare and privacy:

  • Add a buffer zone around reproductive care clinics so anti-abortion protestors will not interfere with patients care.
  • Issue a noise ordinance around reproductive care clinics.
  • Instruct the RPD to not collect internet data of people that use apps to track their cycles.
  • Instruct RPD to refuse to cooperate with investigations of people that have received care for miscarriages and abortions.
  • Ensure healthcare workers don’t violate the privacy of people reporting a miscarriage, should abortion be outlawed in NC.
  • Disallow zoning measures that allow crisis pregnancy centers to be located across from legitimate reproductive care clinics.
