Opening schools for on-campus learning in the current environment would put too many people’s safety at risk. AISD needs to respect the health of our students, families, teachers, and school employees. We call on AISD to hold all lessons virtually for the first nine weeks of the school year. AISD needs to use public health data to determine when it is truly safe to reopen the schools. AISD needs to stop the plan to reopen on August 18th. Put safety first!
