I support raising the minimum wage to at least $10.10 per hour – and call on Speaker John Boehner to do the same. Speaker Boehner needs to say whether he and Congressional Republicans stand with hard-working parents who want to put food on the table or with corporate CEO’s who want to pay themselves millions more in bonuses.

Aloha e Speaker Boehner,
Last night, President Obama made the case for giving millions of Americans a raise – including 71,000 hard-working people right here in Hawaii.
I support the effort to raise the minimum wage above $10.
There’s a growing gap between the rich and the rest of us. As worker productivity rises, we’ve seen wages stay the same and CEO bonuses go up.
Raising the minimum wage would create jobs by rewarding people properly for their work and allowing them to spend more in our economy. This is “middle-out economics,” not the failed “trickle-down economics” of the past.
I support the President's call to raise the minimum wage and I hope you will lead Congress to join him in helping the middle-class and everyone working to join it.
