Sign Now: Shut down Nestlé’s water bottling operation

Governor Rick Snyder (R-MI)

At a time when Michiganders are forced to fight for clean, affordable drinking water in our communities, it is unbelievable that the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality would approve a permit allowing Nestlé to pump our water and ship it out of state for profit for practically free.

The recent public comment period resulted in 80,945 comments against Nestlé’s increased bottling, and just 75 comments in favor. And yet, Governor Rick Snyder appears to have no interest in listening to the people of Michigan.

Stand with Rashida Tlaib for Congress and Progress America and demand Gov. Rick Snyder’s administration shut down Nestlé’s greedy water bottling operation. Together, let’s make government work for all of us, not just the greedy corporate interests.

On the heels of some of the worst water catastrophes in Michigan history, it is unbelievable that your administration would approve Nestlé’s plan to pump and bottle 400 gallons of water per minute from the White Pines Spring well in the Great Lakes Basin of Michigan. We demand that you listen to your constituents and act immediately to shut down Nestlé’s water bottling operation.
