Stop turning students away and rebuild our college! We, the undersigned City College of San Francisco students, City College faculty, and San Francisco community members, speak out against the attempt to cut courses that appear under-enrolled prior to the end of the add-period on August 29, 2016. Traditionally, classes that needed more students could advertise to bring attention to that class and increase enrollment. Why should this year be any different? Prematurely cutting classes is unfair to students who are unable to enroll early. Many students are only able to access class options by enrolling in-person at the beginning of the semester. ​Why prioritize cutting classes over providing a robust and diverse class schedule that will serve the most students? If City College Administration is really committed to rebuilding enrollment, then cutting the college makes no sense. We demand that CCSF administration focus on building our college and halt the downsizing of programs. Sustain our class schedule; stop the early cuts! ​
