This bill not only accelerates permits for fossil fuel projects but also undermines public input on critical energy decisions, potentially worsening the climate crisis. Environmental groups like the Center for Biological Diversity and the Sierra Club have voiced strong opposition, urging us to reject this regressive move.

"We urge Congress to reject this proposal, and instead pass proposals like the Clean Electricity and Transmission Act and the Environmental Justice for All Act to help us reach our clean energy goals while protecting communities," said Earthjustice Vice President of Policy and Legislation Raúl García.
