Republicans must stop covering for Trump
Republicans in Congress
Donald Trump gave the order to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller back in June. The only reason he was unsuccessful is that his own head lawyer threatened to quit if he did, so Trump backed down.
Enough is enough. It’s time for Congress to put country over party.
Protecting our democracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue, but too many Republicans in Congress are complicit in the President’s deliberate attempts to mislead the public and muddy the waters with conspiracy theories.
Chief among them is Rep. Devin Nunes, who has used his role as House Intelligence Committee chair to impede the Russia investigation and push unfounded conspiracy theories. Rep. Nunes served on Trump’s transition team -- which is an inherent conflict of interest. Speaker Paul Ryan should not allow Nunes to have any further role in the investigation.
We must ensure that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation continues without obstruction from the White House -- and that Republicans in Congress stop sowing distrust.
Add your name today and tell Congress: the American people deserve answers, so stop covering for Trump.

Republicans in Congress can’t cover for this President any more, and must draw a clear red line that firing Special Counsel Mueller, as Trump attempted to do last year, would be unacceptable.
