The Evolution Academy Trust, which runs schools across Norwich including Angel Road Infant & Junior Schools, Nelson Infant and Wensum Junior Schools, Bignold School and Eaton Primary, is trying to remove the parent and community governors from our schools. Without parent governors, parents of children at these schools have much less control over what goes on and are excluded from decisions that affect how our children are taught.

With recent decisions at Angel Road Junior and Costessey schools leading to assets worth millions being handed back to the council without sufficient consultation, and current major changes including building works at Angel Road Infant underway, we think parent involvement in the schools should be increased, not blocked.

We ask the trust to:

- reconsider removing parents and community members from their direct involvement with the running of local schools

- treat all staff with the dignity and respect they deserve

- do all they can to protect the assets they hold on behalf of our kids and communities.
