Save Salem Wildlife From Rodenticides
Salem City Council

We are calling on the Salem City Council to send a Home Rule Petition to the State Legislature authorizing our city to ban the use of SGARs on all properties.
Raptors, foxes, coyotes, and other predators keep Massachusetts’ ecosystems in balance. But in recent years, shocking numbers of these iconic creatures have been sickened or killed after preying on rodents poisoned with second-generation anti-coagulant rodenticides (SGARs.) These poisons have even killed pets.
Not only do SGARs harm beautiful creatures, but they also ironically harm our efforts at pest control by killing off our most effective tool - the predators of rodents!
