Senator Schumer: Call for a permanent ceasefire and stop funding war crimes!
Senator Chuck Schumer
Senator Chuck Schumer represents New York. But he is not representing the majority of New Yorkers who support a ceasefire in Gaza.
Add your voice to a petition that we will deliver to Senator Schumer, from New Yorkers all across the state, saying loud and clear: Call for a permanent ceasefire. Stop sending the Israeli military more weapons. Millions of lives depend on it.

Dear Senator Schumer,
Millions of lives are in your hands. We, thousands of constituents from across New York State—from Albany, to New York City, to Buffalo, to Long Island—are demanding that you call for and facilitate an immediate permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
We mourn for the Palestinian and Israeli civilians killed, and we will continue to fight for the living. We urge you, as our representative and the Senate Majority Leader, to fight for the living too. Over 14,000 Palestinians in Gaza have already been killed. How many more people have to die from thirst, starvation, cold, disease, and the destruction from an aerial bombardment more powerful than a nuclear bomb? What will it take for you to lead and take action?
United Nations experts have identified the situation in Gaza as a “genocide in the making.” This genocide is funded, by the billions, with our U.S. tax dollars. Amnesty International has called for this “cataclysmic assault on the occupied Gaza Strip” to be “investigated as war crimes.” We urge you to reverse course and stop enabling U.S. military “aid” to Israel which is “aiding” in these atrocities. We refuse to be complicit in these war crimes.
We remind you that it is we, your constituents, who elected you and that polls indicate a majority of people across the U.S. (and a vast majority of Democrats) are calling for a ceasefire. We will not be silent as you make New York a leading supporter of genocide.
Senator Schumer: call for and facilitate an immediate permanent ceasefire. Stop sending the Israeli military more weapons. Millions of lives depend on it. The U.S. must focus on a political solution and de-escalation, not fuel violence by sending the Israeli military more weapons. U.S. complicity in Israel's occupation, blockade, and apartheid must end—no more war crimes on our dime.
