But, without a Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) program, many Mainers are put into a position where they have to work during these times or risk losing their income.
The good news is, Maine is on track to create a statewide PFML program, thanks to Senator Mattie Daughtry! Her bill, LD 1559, “Resolve, To Create the Commission To Develop a Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program, has passed the House and Senate, and now heads to the Governor's desk.
