State and local governments

Cities like Houston & Fort Lauderdale have passed laws making it a crime to feed homeless people on the street. The law in Fort Lauderdale comes with a penalty of up to 60 days in jail.

Homeless people are not animals at the zoo, and food is a human necessity. Punishing people who are giving them food is appalling not to mention a basic violation of free speech.

I am shocked, disgusted & appalled that feeding the homeless would be a crime anywhere. Please repeal these laws immediately.
