Sign if you agree: Unpatriotic, tax dodging, offshoring corporations should not receive pandemic aid

All Members of Congress

Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) have introduced the American Assistance for American Companies Act, which would ensure that tax dodging corporate inverters cannot benefit from the CARES Act COVID-19 relief package.

Senator Durbin said:

“For years, inversion loopholes have allowed American companies to evade their tax obligations. These companies, which have schemed their way out of paying U.S. taxes, shouldn’t get a dime of American taxpayer funded CARES Act financial relief.”

Representative Doggett said:

“These multinational corporations—that renounced their American citizenship—want to be treated as foreign when it comes time to pay for our national security and vital public services upon which they rely, but claim they are as American as apple pie when it comes time to line up for a handout paid for by the American households actually suffering.”

This 4th of July, we demand that unpatriotic, tax dodging, offshoring corporations that have renounced their U.S. citizenship, not receive any pandemic aid. If they’re not willing to pay their fair share in taxes here at home, they shouldn’t get a dime of our tax dollars. Pass the American Assistance for American Companies Act to ensure our tax dollars go to small businesses in need, not corporate tax dodgers.
