SIGN NOW: DEMAND CONGRESS INVESTIGATE WALMART’S TAX DODGING SCHEME

House Ways and Means Committee

What could the U.S. do with $2.6 billion in tax revenue? We could better combat the opioid epidemic, which kills some 40,000 Americans and costs society $80 billion a year. Or we could put a down payment on the $14 billion per year needed to fully fund Head Start and serve all the kids entitled to this vital program.

Instead, Donald Trump and congressional Republicans consistently look to cut critical programs and services that working families rely on.

Those are the consequences when huge, profitable corporations avoid paying their fair share in taxes. More for the rich and powerful. Much less for working families.

Now, a new groundbreaking story from Quartz brings to light new evidence detailing how Walmart engaged in deceit and tax dodging not previously known. Between 2014 – 2017, Walmart used a “fictitious” overseas entity to avoid paying up to $2.6 billion in U.S. taxes.

In 2018 Walmart’s annual revenue reached $501 billion. And yet, their greed knows no limits.

Sign the petition demanding Congress immediately investigate Walmart’s tax dodging schemes and hold this greedy corporation accountable to the American people.
