SIGN NOW: TELL CONGRESS TO FULLY FUND THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION

All Members of Congress

Recently, Congress passed a big end of year spending deal. That deal included a lump of coal for seniors and people with disabilities in the form of a miniscule budget increase for the Social Security Administration (SSA). Since the increase wasn’t even large enough to keep up with inflation, it is effectively a budget cut.

With 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 every day, Congress needs to increase SSA’s budget to reflect the larger workload.

Instead, Republican controlled Congresses have been slashing SSA’s budget for the past decade―with serious consequences for Social Security beneficiaries.

Join us in calling on Congress to fully fund the Social Security Administration, so that workers can easily access the benefits we’ve earned with every paycheck.

With 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 every day, the Social Security Administration has a bigger workload than ever. Budget cuts have led to office closures, long wait times, and a year long backlog for disability hearings. Congress needs to increase, not cut, the agency’s funding.
