Sign now to tell mutual fund companies: Stop using my retirement savings to push deadly opioids

Mutual fund companies, in particular: Vanguard, Fidelity, and BlackRock

The opioids pushed by drug corporations kill 115 Americans a day. That’s 300,000 Americans since 2001. As a result, Americans’ life expectancy has fallen two years in a row (that hasn’t happened in more than 50 years!). We know the cause of this epidemic: most people who are addicted to opioids first got hooked by the prescriptions pushed by drug company profiteering.

Worst of all, many of us are supporting the corporations responsible for this epidemic. If you’re invested in a 401(k) or a mutual fund, chances are your money is supporting drug corporations’ deadly profiteering.

Here’s the good news:

If you own a retirement fund, you own a stake in the system, and you can demand change. We can use the power of our retirement funds to stop drug corporations from pushing more deadly opioids on our families and communities.

It’s up to us to tell the firms that manage our retirement to demand that drug corporations stop pushing opioids on our families and communities. These opioids are killing people, and wrecking families and communities. Sign our petition to demand that mutual fund companies stop drug corporations from pushing dangerous opioids.

We’ll use these signatures as part of a broader campaign we’re developing with some other progressive groups. Together, we can have the peace of mind of knowing that our retirements are helping families and communities to thrive.

I am one of the 100 million Americans with retirement investments in mutual funds, which makes me a part-owner of the drug corporations pushing deadly opioids on our communities.

I refuse to let my retirement support corporations that kill people for profits. Tell the drug corporations I am invested in: Stop pushing opioids on our families and communities.
