Donald Trump announced that his National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster is out—and extremist warmonger John Bolton is in.

John Bolton is downright dangerous. He pushed for bombing Iran in 2015 and thinks we have a legal case to “strike North Korea first.” For John Bolton, war, violence, and destruction are always the answers to our national security concerns.

Now, this man will have Donald Trump’s ear, who already takes every opportunity to showcase his aggression.

In 2005, Congress blocked John Bolton’s appointment as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. If Bolton was not acceptable in 2005, there’s no way he is now.

Bolton officially becomes Trump’s new National Security Advisor on April 9. It’s time to put the heat on Republicans in Congress to hold Bolton accountable for everything he does.

Congress can enable a violent warmonger—or they can fight.
