Sign the petition to Homeland Security: Investigate cyberattacks on voting machines

Department of Homeland Security

Russian hackers reportedly hit voting systems in as many as 39 states last fall, and now the Department of Homeland Security has identified 21 states as potential targets of hacking.

But Homeland Security officials won't even examine voting machines used in 2016 to determine if they were breached, or even call on states to have a paper trail of ballots.

Our whole election system is vulnerable to future cyberattacks, as long as Homeland Security refuses to take this matter seriously. We must get some answers on this right away.

I am outraged that Russian hackers hit voting systems in as many as 39 states, but the Department of Homeland Security still won't investigate voting machines—let alone proposed rules to prevent such cyberattacks in future elections.
