Sign the petition telling our legislators to make corporations pay us what they owe us!

Pennsylvania State Senators and Representatives

Pennsylvania’s Republican-controlled legislature had a huge $12 billion surplus they could have used to give us the support we need in this moment to keep our businesses open, to pay for the child care we need to work or to reduce the cost of housing so we can live closer to our jobs. Yet instead of helping us, they gave a big tax cut to corporate billionaires who are making high profits, charging too much, keeping wages down—and using some of their wealth to corrupt our political system.

Can you sign our petition to tell Pennsylvania’s legislators that it’s time to stand with us, not the wealthy corporations?

When they weren’t ignoring us, the Republican-controlled legislature tried to divide us, acting late in the night to pass constitutional amendments that would limit the right to abortion which most of us support and reinforce the Big Lie about the 2020 election, requiring new, unnecessary, and costly audits.

Their hope is that by dividing us using abortion and elections, they can distract us from their support of an agenda that helps the very rich instead of working people and small business owners.

Sign our petition and tell PA Republican legislators that it’s time to put our priorities first, not those of wealthy corporations. It’s time to give PA workers and businesses the opportunities they need to take care of their families in this tough time, and to make large, wealthy corporations pay what they owe.

We The People of Pennsylvania call on you to come back to Harrisburg and take advantage of our $12 billion surplus to help us, the working people and small businesses of the state.

The budget you passed in June left out too many of us in every corner of the state. Small businesses in every part of the state also suffered during the pandemic and some need help to stay open and thrive.

Working people of all kinds—white, Black, and brown; rural, suburban, and urban—are struggling to deal with the high cost of child care, senior care, housing, and gas. Many of us who want to work to support our families are finding it hard because we can’t afford to take care of our kids or our parents or pay for gas.

We aren’t looking for a handout. We’re looking for what government should provide: an opportunity for us to get back to work and contribute to our families and our communities.

Instead of using the huge, accumulate surplus of $12 billion to help the people of Pennsylvania, you decided to cut taxes for corporate billionaires while letting multi-national corporations—that use our roads and hire the workers our taxes have educated—to get away with not paying what they owe. Those same corporations are now making high profits and holding our wages down.

So, we the people are coming together, as we have done in the past, to demand that you do your job and use the tax dollars sitting in the state’s bank accounts. Help us get back to work and create a Pennsylvania economy that is no longer rigged to benefit the rich and powerful, but that instead, works for us.
