Donald Trump's U.S. Ambassador to Germany—Richard Grenell—thinks his job is political campaigning for right-wingers, not diplomacy.

Barely a month in his job, Grenell says he wants to use his position to "empower conservatives throughout Europe."

Given the Trump Administration's penchant for tolerating white supremacists, that is extremely dangerous—not to mention a huge breach of diplomatic protocol.

German political leaders are outraged, and calling for his expulsion. As they point out, a German ambassador to the United States who said they were there to "promote Democrats" would never be tolerated.
