In the midst of the continued inhumane assault upon Black Brown and red lives by law enforcement with zero accountability and protection for this same group, Every Case Matters coalition demands the following: As law enforcement continues to claim the lives of unarmed individuals across the country with impunity and zero accountability, in each case even when caught on video camera, police officers will spin a false narrative victimizing themselves, while criminalizing the victim they have unjustly murdered.  In response to this nightmare, the Every Case Matters coalition is asking the federal government to pass The Comprehensive Justice Act (CJA) for impacted families.

The Comprehensive Justice Act, CJA for impacted families will cover families with a shield of protection and intervention for victims instead of law enforcement.  Every Case Matters Coalition is demanding the following:  1) For every life stolen by law enforcement, every murderous cop will lose their shield, i.e., pension job and freedom to use their shield and all monies and expenses incurred by the family members of the slain loved one will be replaced and paid by law enforcement and the federal government.  Families will be compensated for every loss they have experienced as a result of their loved one being stolen from them and each family will be awarded a standard payout upon the death of the loved one by law enforcement and the federal government covering every expense now incurred by the family immediately and toward long-term and future losses, stemming from the same act.  Housing educational, psychological, and medical intervention and compensation will also be provided to every surviving family member of the slain loved one.  The death of a loved one at the hands of law enforcement dismantles the entire family, many family members become homeless and are unable to work due to the trauma and PTSD encountered.  The shocking effect of the loss reverberates through the entire family system for generations to come, the lives of the surviving family members have been totally dismantled.

These family members need immediate intervention and support to be able to navigate their lives back to a space of productivity minimally, and at best to prevent their lives from falling victim to the same fate as their loved one.  In closing, the demands are as follows: 1) Remove the shield from murderous law enforcement in all 50 states, placing it upon the impacted families.  2) Protect, intervene, and deliver comprehensive justice for the impacted families in all 50 states.  3) Provide legal counsel for the impacted families in all 50 states.  3) Remove the statute of limitation for lives stolen by law enforcement in all 50 states, i.e., there is no statute of limitation for murder.  4) Open the case of a life stolen by law enforcement, especially if it has gone cold.  This has now become a human rights issue/case, where the individual’s human rights have been violated.  5) Link All Cases under one category of individuals whose lives have been stolen by law enforcement, enacting genocide on black, brown, and red lives, violating their humanity and basic human rights.  Such violations based on racism, bigotry and hate make each individual whose life has been stolen and their existing family members eligible for immediate legal counsel, intervention, protection, economic and comprehensive restoration, and every form of justice under the CJF Act, for their basic human rights have been violated comprehensively.  6) Finally, launch an immediate independent investigation by an investigative team, spearheaded by experts selected by members of the impacted family!
