Big companies want to build pipelines to transport gas -- fracked out of state -- through the precious Virginia countryside, and the Trump administration has named their completion as one of its top priorities.

Pipelines like these are the rusty ideas of yesterday. They’re expensive, destructive, and do nothing to break us of our addiction to fossil fuel.

Maintaining affordable energy sources and protecting our environment are not mutually exclusive ideas. But the only way we can achieve a balance is by working together to find solutions that work for all Virginians -- not just big corporations or entrenched interests.
