Stop ALEC's secret influence
Indiana Legislature
Indiana says that the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a group that matches legislators with corporate interests to write model bills, is an educational group. Our state also gives ALEC a special exemption from lobbyist ethics rules. That means our legislators don’t have to report how much ALEC spends on them, tax-free, to attend lavish vacation junkets at extravagant hotels and golf resorts.
Secretly giving our legislators thousands of dollars in exchange for supporting out-of-state billionaires and corporations isn’t education: it’s legalized bribery.

ALEC is not an educational organization; it’s a lobbyist group.
Stop allowing ALEC’s legalized, behind-closed-doors, bribery of our legislators. Everyone should have to play by the rules. We deserve to know who’s pulling the strings.
It's time to end ALEC's secret influence in Indiana!
