Stop Republicans' hate manifesto

NY Republican Chairman Ed Cox

The Republicans are debating their party platform right now, and they’re moving toward adopting the most backward, hate-filled agenda in recent history.

It rejects marriage equality, explicitly condemns homosexuality, denies transgender rights, demands that lawmakers use religion as a guide when legislating and describes coal as a “clean” energy. The platform also echoes Donald Trump’s ludicrous call for building a physical wall along the U.S.–Mexico border.

Tell New York’s Republican Party Chairman, Ed Cox, to send a clear message now and disavow this hate manifesto before the RNC moves to finalize it.

Dear Chairman Cox,

I'm writing to urge you to take a stand against the RNC's draft party platform, much of which was put together by ultra-conservatives from groups like the Family Research Council, a group the Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled an anti-LGBT hate group.

The draft platform rejects marriage equality, explicitly condemns homosexuality, denies transgender rights, demands that lawmakers use religion as a guide when legislating and describes coal as a “clean” energy. It also echoes Donald Trump’s ludicrous call for building a physical wall along the U.S.–Mexico border.

Promoting this sort of intolerance isn’t just disgusting, it’s dangerous. You must reject these ideas and denounce the hate.
