Stop the job cuts at Morrisons bakery
Rami Baitiéh, Morrisons CEO
Morrisons has announced it will be making 400 workers redundant at its Rathbones site in Wakefield. Last year, excluding fuel costs, Morrisons profits were up by 2.1% to £3.9 billion showing the business does not need to make these job cuts.
Some of the workers at threat have worked at this site for 20 years.
We are asking you to sign this petition to Morrisons CEO Rami Baiteh to demand Morrisons stop the job cuts.

We the undersigned are demanding you stop the job cuts at your Rathbones site in Wakefield.
We believe the intention to make 400 workers redundant is completely unnecessary when last year, excluding fuel costs, Morrisons profits were up up by 2.1% to £3.9 billion.
Some of the workers at threat have worked at this site for 20 years.
The local community in and around Wakefield relies on these important jobs, and we believe continual asses stripping of Morrisons since the takeover by Clayton Dubilier & Rice in 2021 is damaging to our society.
We urge you to reconsider your position and stop the job cuts and this poor treatment of your staff.
We also urge you to not use tactics like fire and rehire, to employ workers on worse conditions to justify your cuts.
We will continue our campaign via all avenues and hope you understand the strength of feeling on this matter.
