Stop The University Fee Hikes - Demand An Education System That Works For All Of Us
Education Minister, Dan Tehan
The government has shown its contempt for young people by massively increasing the cost of university fees, in some cases more than doubling the cost of degrees.
It is yet another attempt by the government to put big business first at the expense of society. It’s a politically motivated attack from a government that does not want a creative, critical thinking and educated public.
Student activism has stopped fee raises and deregulation in the past, and if enough of us stand up for education, we can win again.
For decades our education system has been under attack as big business tries to push the cost of training their workers onto the public. These changes show that once again business is pulling the strings when it comes to Scott Morrisson’s education policy.
We can’t let big business take even more control of our universities.
Sign the petition to the Education Minister to demand an education system that works for all of us. That means accessible and free public education at all levels; so that people not only gain knowledge and skills to contribute back to society, but to understand the world around us, to learn the tools to tell our shared histories and our story.

Stop the fee hikes at our universities!
Young people are already feeling the worst of this crisis and our economic recovery cannot be at the expense of the long term heath of our society and education system.
We demand a society with good jobs, great public services and a safe climate for all. This means accessible and free public education at all levels so that people not only gain knowledge and skills to contribute back to society, but to understand the world around us, to learn the tools to tell our shared histories and our story.
I demand you cancel the education fee hikes now and make a plan to reinvest in a more accessible education system.
