Striking Haringey housing workers need a pay rise now!

Councillor Peray Ahmet and Andy Donald, Leader and CEO of Haringey Council

Striking Haringey Council workers

Council workers in the housing department at Haringey Council have had a pay freeze in place since 2014.

In 2022, when the housing service came back in-house, workers were promised that there would be a pay review in first six months - this hasn't happened.

The workers are striking because management refuse to hold meaningful negotiations.

Please sign our petition to support these workers and force the Council leader and CEO to finally listen.

Dear Councillor Ahmet and Mr Donald,

It is time for you to take action.

Haringey Council workers in Housing Services have taken discontinuous strike action over the past 12 months.

Unite the Union has repeatedly sought to engage in meaningful negotiations over pay, conditions and productivity, competencies and safety for the workers.

We urge the Council to engage in meaningful negotiations as soon as possible to protect the workers pay and conditions and improve Housing Services in Haringey.

Thank you for your interest and for supporting Unite’s campaign. This petition will be shared with Councillor Peray Ahmet and Andy Donald, Leader and CEO of Haringey Council, River Park House, 225 High Road, Wood Green, London, N22 8HQ.
