Support a Public Bank for Sacramento

Sacramento City Council

In the US, most public money is held in private banks. These private banks represent some of the largest fossil fuel investors worldwide and money deposited in these banks by public entities is used to this end.

The Sacramento Public Bank will be a financial institution owned by public entities, including the City of Sacramento, that leverages its equity for public good by lending and investing in areas such as affordable housing, green infrastructure and emergency financial relief.
