Today is #EqualPayDay. It is a pretty simple concept. Women should get paid the same as men for the same work. But for some reason, Republicans in Tennessee (and across the country) can't get on board. On this #EqualPayDay, let's send a clear message. Add your name to tell Tennessee's state legislature to support the “Tennessee Pay Equality Act" and Tennessee's federal legislators to support The Paycheck Fairness Act introduced by Rep. Rosa DeLauro almost 20 years ago.

The Paycheck Fairness Act was introduced in congress almost 20 years ago. The notion that men and women should earn the same wages for the same work seems too simple need an explanation. But somehow the wage gap persists in the year 2017 without action from congress or in our state.
I write today to urge you to what is moral and just. I ask you to support the Paycheck Fairness Act in congress, or the Tennessee Pay Equality Act in our state. It is important to me that elected officials take a public stance on this issue. I look forward to your response.
