As a concerned citizen and supporter of the entertainment industry in Columbus, Ohio, I am writing to express my support for the hardworking stagehands and technicians represented by IATSE Local 12. These workers play a crucial role in bringing world-class entertainment to the city, and they deserve fair wages, access to healthcare and retirement benefits, and safe working conditions.

It is concerning to hear that despite years of bargaining, AEG Presents and its subsidiary PromoWest Productions have been unwilling to offer an equitable economic package to the members of IATSE Local 12. The current wages being offered are far below the industry standard in Columbus. The lack of access to healthcare and retirement benefits only adds to the hardship faced by these workers.

As a socially responsible company, it is imperative that AEG Presents prioritize the well-being of its employees and partners. The general public deserves to have confidence in the treatment of workers by companies operating in their community.

I urge AEG Presents to reconsider its position and to come to a fair agreement with IATSE Local 12. The hardworking people in the entertainment industry deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

I will continue to support IATSE Local 12 and its efforts to secure a fair agreement for its members.
