Support the Ashland Bus Extension

The city has proposed extending the Ashland bus to the Ravenswood Metra stop, increasing the reach of the Ashland bus line by 21,500 residents and 15,500 jobs. Unfortunately, some anti-transit activists are spreading lies to try to stop this vital expansion.
Tell the Committee on Transportation and Public Way that you support the Ashland Bus Extension, which is also supported by the local community, the local alderman, CTA, and CDOT. We cannot let the few loud anti-progress voices outweigh the demands of the local community!

Dear Committee on Transportation and Public Way,
I am writing to share my support for the proposed Ashland Bus Extension. As CDOT and CTA have shared, this bus extension will increase the range of the Ashland bus by 21,500 residents and 15,000 jobs. It will introduce connections to the 78 bus, the 81 bus, and the UP-N Metra line.
Increasing access to transit is important for our city's economic vitality, as well as for meeting our climate goals. The traffic engineers on this project have confirmed the roads can handle the buses, and the local community has shown overwhelming support for this project.
