Support the United States Postal Service
Texas Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz

The Postal Service is in a crisis. Because of COVID-19, revenues are plummeting at the same time as a surge in demand for package deliveries. Without emergency relief funding from Congress, the Postal Service is at risk of bankruptcy. Now, more than ever, we need postal workers for their vital role in our nation’s economic and public health. Yet Trump and the new Postmaster General are using this crisis to sabotage the USPS for their own political gain.
If we allow the Postal Service to collapse, we threaten the livelihood of over 600,000 postal workers, over 40% of which are people of color. We threaten the voting rights of a predicted 20 million mail-in voters this November. We threaten the health of 1 million individuals who receive lifesaving prescription deliveries.
With the election nearing and many parts of the U.S. in the grips of COVID-19, mail-in ballots have become a prominent issue. But President Trump has disparaged both the U.S. Postal Service and the integrity of voting by mail. President Trump's attack on the USPS is an attack on democracy.
The Postal Service is holding on for dear life. Sign this petition to tell Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz to act immediately to protect this essential service, and support at least $25 billion in emergency appropriations for our public Postal Service.

The Postal Service is an essential service. If we allow the Postal Service to collapse, we threaten the livelihood of over 600,000 postal workers, over 40% of which are people of color. It is unacceptable that Senate has failed to act to protect our nation's economic and public health in this moment of crisis. We call on Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz to act immediately to protect this essential service, and support at least $25 billion in emergency appropriations for our public Postal Service.
