To the Vox Executive Team;

We, the Vox Answered on Quibi Team, are thankful you've agreed to meet with us regarding the show's sudden end, as a result of Quibi's imminent shutdown. We feel that our team put forth a highly notable and successful product true to Vox’s high standards during an exceptionally challenging year for our industry.

We feel that the way in which our departure from the company has been handled, however, does not meet Vox’s high standards. Vox has continuously shown itself to be an industry leader, not only in producing high quality content, but in providing its employees with the treatment and resources they deserve. Fair safeguards and transparency are essential during this global pandemic and tumultuous time in our industry. We do not feel that Vox has treated our team or our show’s legacy with that in mind.

— For the team at The Report, NBC’s Quibi series, they will receive pay and coverage for the next two months until the end of December after Quibi’s shutdown
— For the team at Speed Run, Polygon’s Quibi series, they received the remaining seven weeks of pay and coverage on their contract after the show was cancelled
— In contrast, the Answered Team received two weeks of pay after Quibi’s shutdown

We expected to work for an additional six months, per our contracts, but within 48 hours of finding out Quibi’s intention to shut down via outside news coverage, we abruptly halted production. The Answered Team, along with our colleagues, all WGAE members at Vox in both editorial and media, are asking for more appropriate protections inline with Vox’s standards and that are proportionate to the scale of loss we’re currently enduring.
