Workers are organizing a union at First Avenue in Minneapolis, the beloved and iconic concert venue Prince made famous in “Purple Rain” almost 40 years ago.
Sign your name here to show support for the over 200 service and event staff at all of the Twin Cities venues operated by the same company – First Avenue, 7th Street Entry, Depot Tavern, Turf Club, Fine Line Music Café, Palace Theatre and Fitzgerald Theater. They are organizing with UNITE HERE Local 17.
With a union, First Avenue workers seek to create better workplaces so the Twin Cities venues can remain great for decades of music to come. Most immediately, better workplaces would mean a voice on the job, more respectful scheduling, fair pay, and improved job training and safety. Check out Local 17’s Instagram page for updates!
