Take Action to Protect Hudson County Hospitals!

The Honorable Phil Murphy, Governor of New Jersey

CarePoint Health has informed the labor unions representing the 2,600 employees working in the three CarePoint hospitals that they may be laid off in December 2024. These employees work at Bayonne Medical Center, Christ Hospital in Jersey City and Hoboken University Medical Center.

Services at all three hospitals are at risk. It is urgent that we send a message to the Murphy Administration that they must provide the public with a plan for how they will preserve healthcare services at all three hospitals.

Governor Murphy: Protect Hudson County Hospitals, Listen to the Community, the Patients and the Workers. Hudson County’s access to quality healthcare is at stake!

CarePoint Health which owns and operates Bayonne Medical Center, Christ Hospital, and Hoboken Medical Center in Hudson County issued layoff notices to more than 2,600 employees from its three hospitals. Layoffs are not a plan that saves our hospitals- fewer caregivers means worse healthcare . We deserve to know how healthcare services will be preserved in Hudson County.

Hold CarePoint Accountable! Keep our Hospitals Open.

We are calling on the Murphy Administration to stop the layoffs and provide the public with a plan that preserve services and access to quality healthcare in CarePoint facilities.
