Tell CNN and The Washington Post to Improve Climate Coverage and Stop Selling Ads to the Fossil Fuel Industry

The free press has a moral obligation to Tell The Truth about the climate and ecological crisis to the public. By refusing to give the crisis the coverage it deserves, CNN and The Washington Post are failing to inform people about the gravest existential threat humankind faces.
CNN and The Washington Post covered World War Two with the urgency it deserved. They are doing it now for Covid. The climate and ecological emergency is the story of the century. We need them to make it headline news. Every. Single. Day.
We are also calling on these outlets to ban fossil fuel ads. How can the press, which has a duty to Tell the Truth to the public, take money from fossil fuel companies that have spent billions lying to the public? Their hypocrisy must end.
Sign the petition and tell CNN and The Washington Post to stop selling ads and branded content to the fossil fuel industry. Join us in demanding that these outlets treat the climate and ecological crisis with the urgency it deserves.
The climate crisis won’t fix itself. Whatever our politics, we have a moral duty to demand the truth for ourselves and for our children. History will not forgive us for what we do not say.

We are in the midst of a climate and ecological emergency. Our futures — and those of our children — grow bleaker every day. War, disease, and famine lie ahead on a scale that humans have never suffered before.
The free press has a moral obligation to Tell the Truth to the public. By refusing to give the climate and ecological crisis the coverage it deserves, and by taking ad revenue from fossil fuel companies, you are failing to inform people about an existential threat that risks the collapse of society.
I am asking that you treat the climate and ecological crisis with the urgency it deserves. Please, tell the truth!
