On Tuesday May, 16th, Senator Bernie Sanders and House Rep. Pramila Jayapal are reintroducing bills to establish a Medicare for All, single-payer public insurance system, in the US. The citizens of New Jersey must call our congressional representatives to let them know that we demand they co sponsor these bills!

My name is ____________ and I urge you to cosponsor the Medicare for All bills recently reintroduced to the US Congress. The for-profit American healthcare system is trapped in an escalating crisis of affordability. Patients are going bankrupt, and sometimes even losing their lives -- to foot the bill for the unbridled greed of drugmakers, insurance companies, for-profit hospitals and wall-street speculators. The Covid pandemic laid the failures of private health insurance bare, with an estimated one third of the 1.1 million US Covid deaths link to a lack of health insurance.
Enough is enough. Healthcare should be a right, and not a privilege, as it is on almost every other industrialized country on earth. I demand my legislators cosponsor the Medicare for All Act of 2023, and voice strong public support for these bills as well.
