Tell Congress: Save Child Care!
Congress
Parents of young kids can’t go back to work if we don’t save child care.
Having quality and affordable child care was difficult before the pandemic, and now it will be nearly impossible as many providers are being forced to shut their doors. According to NAEYC, 40 percent of child care providers will shut down permanently if they don’t receive help.
Only $3.5 billion has been allocated to help child care providers in previous COVID relief packages. We need at least $50 billion to help providers keep their doors open and prevent a collapse of the childcare system.

The COVID-19 crisis continues to worsen, disproportionately impacting parents and caregivers who are forced to care for their children and work at the same time.
Members of Congress, we call on you to act immediately to invest $50 billion to stabilize the child care system, keep providers in business, and ensure parents are able to go back to work when it is safe to do so.
If you fail to act, nearly 4.5 million child care slots could be lost, leaving millions of parents with no way to return to work.
