Tell Congress: Don’t Allow Trump to Dismantle the Postal Office

U.S. Congress

First, President Trump's new postmaster general instituted new "cost-cutting" measures that caused days-long backlogs of mail. Now, he is dismantling the Postal Service by eliminating high-speed sorting machines and even removing neighborhood mailboxes.

Millions of Americans, especially seniors and veterans, rely on the U.S. Postal Service to deliver important goods and services -- like medicines. And during a pandemic tens of thousands of more Americans want to vote by mail in the November election.

We can't let this stand. Congress has to act.

Across the country postal workers are sounding the alarm.

Mail sorting equipment has been destroyed and mailboxes are being removed or padlocked. Postal workers are being told to leave mail behind, creating backlogs and delays.

Seniors and veterans use the mail to get life saving prescriptions -- and are seeing delays.

This is unprecedented and has to stop.

Postal employees work hard every day to deliver essential goods and services to millions of Americans 6 days a week. Americans need and rely on affordable home delivery.

The Postal Service is a service, not a business.

Please take urgent action to block Trump’s postmaster general from destroying the Post Office.
